🌱 Climate Action Working Group Meeting

The latest State of California 2022 Climate Change Scoping Plan sets goals for substantial reductions in greenhouse gas emissions for 2030 and 2045. Stanford’s Michael Wara will talk about: state policies in place that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the political, technological, and economic challenges the state faces in meeting its goals, and potential policy options the state can consider to address those challenges. Michael Wara also will address climate change impacts, including devastating wildfires, and ways to adapt by reducing wildfire risk and addressing the ever-worsening home insurance crisis.
